Mangaluru, Sep 29: So far, CBSE used to conduct the JEE MAIN exam, but from 2019 onwards National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the exam twice a year , in January and in April 2019. Both the exams will be only CBT (Computer Based Test) and September 30 is the last date to apply for January attempt.
In order to make students familiar with Computer Based Test(CBT), CFAL is offering several practice tests for the aspiring students.
Who is eligible to write JEE Main 2019
Students who have written IIPUC/12thin 2017, 2018 and those who will be writing in 2019 are eligible to write 2019 JEE Main Exam.
There is an option for the candidates to appear once or twice for the exam in a year. In case they have attempted both the examinations, best of the percentile scores after normalisation would be taken for the merit list.
How to apply for JEE Main – 2019
Applications form for JEE Main 2019 can be submitted only online through website www.nta.ac.in. or www.jeemain.nic.in.
Though the exam is conducted by NTA, there is no change in the syllabus of JEE Main – 2019.
Details of JEE MAIN
JEE Main has 2 papers
Candidates may take paper 1 or paper 2 or both as per the courses they are seeking admission to.
A –Based on marks obtained in JEE Main, students can get admission in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, StateEngineering Colleges for participating states and other participatinginstitutions., depending on the number of seats available.
B -All the candidates aspiring to take admission to the undergraduateprograms at IITs for the year 2019, will have to write JEE Main 2019. Basedon the performance of JEE Main 2019, a number of top candidates as per therequirement of JEE (Advanced) will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2019. Admissions to IITs will be based only on All India Rank(AIR) in JEE(Advanced).
