Bengaluru: Plot to relieve Laxmi Hebbalkar from state Mahila Congress president post?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Oct 2: A silent plot is being hatched to dethrone Laxmi Hebbalkar, who had challenged the Jarkiholi brothers in the recently held election for the post of president of PLD bank Belagavi, from the presidentship of state Mahila Congress.

It is said that by using the 'One man one post' rule, it is decided to remove Laxmi Hebbalkar, who is also a rural MLA of Belagavi, from the presidentship of KPCC women's unit.

Jarkiholi brothers, who had raised a revolt against the coalition government, had also put a demand to remove Laxmi Hebbalkar from the presidentship of women's unit of KPCC. Now the high command has come forward to accept the demand. It is learnt that Dr Nagalaxmi Chowdhury, who belongs to the Kuruba community, may get a nod in place
of Laxmi Hebbalkar.

In the midst of these behind the screen activities, women activists of Congress have submitted an appeal to the leader of state Congress legislator party, Siddaramaiah, asking him to remove Laxmi Hebbalkar from the presidentship of the KPCC women's unit. It is said that in the letter given to Siddaramaiah, the women Congress activists have cited the rule of 'One man one post' of the party. So as Laxmi Hebbalkar is an MLA, she needs to be dethroned from the said position.

This present development in the Congress party in the state has become a matter of discussion in political circles.

Ms.Laxmi Hebbalkar, do not bother about these people who may not have something better to do. When you know the truth, hold on to it and God will bless you. We are here to do right things and while doing so, there will be too much of opposition which we have to ignore and keep the truth alive.

You do your work as usual and let them say what they have to say. How long? one day the script will be over and there will be silence.

    Keep up the goodness.

Looking at the state of Congress I feel piety. Instead of working for the state with the coalition with JDS they are busy in seeking for power. Power is temporary. The people remember the great personalities and politicians not for the petty power but for the work of social welfare. I feel our politicians need to visit the people and listen to them. If the elected members don't do the work it would be better they are changed. If they good work need to be appreciated and supported. Within the Congress party if the members are fighting for the power sooner or later people may loose faith and trust in the party. As a citizen of Karnataka, I request the party to put your priority straight and work for people and not for power and prestige. If you do the work automatically everything will come.
