I belong to the 'Bharatiya Janata' before the Party: Shatrughan Sinha

Patna, Oct 3(PTI): Disgruntled BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha on Tuesday asserted that he belonged to the "Bharatiya Janata" (Indian public) before he owed allegiance to any party.

Addressing a function in his Lok Sabha constituency of Patna Sahib, the actor-turned-politician lamented that the party (BJP) had become a "one man show two man army" a jibe aimed at Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.

Former Union minister Yashwant Sinha, who announced severing of his ties with the BJP earlier this year, speaking at the function said anybody speaking the truth nowadays was being dubbed an "anti-national" and asserted that "if that is the case, please count myself and Shatrughan Sinha as topmost among anti-nationals."

"Try asking anybody to name three ministers in the current regime. He will take the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi first, followed by Amit Shah who is not a minister. Thereafter he will start fumbling," the former Union minister said at the function organized on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Premier Lal Bahadur Shastri.

"The entire nation was thrown into turmoil by demonetization. And even before the people could fully recover from the shock, they came up with the complicated GST. The tax regime was introduced with much fanfare, the announcement coming at the stroke of midnight as if we were getting Independence anew," the filmstar turned politician said.

"But instead of the much-touted one nation one tax, it has become one nation many taxes. When I speak about such things, many try to stop me reminding that I am a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. But I say before the party, I belong to the Bharatiya Janata," he said.

The Patna Sahib MP also asked the regime to "come clean" on the Rafale deal a demand he has been raising for quite some time on the social media besides expressing displeasure over shoddy treatment given to veterans like Yashwant Sinha, L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Arun Shourie.

"And those with darbari (sycophantic) mentality have the temerity to say that these people are speaking uncomfortable truths just because they were not given a ministerial berth," Sinha said.

Yashwant Sinha said "it is our right to point out wrongdoings but we see very little tolerance for the same. We would however continue to do so even if we are dubbed as being agents of China and Pakistan. If stating the truth, calling a spade a spade makes one an anti-national I would proudly say count me and Shatrughan Sinha, jointly, as among the front-rankers."

Modi & Shotgun both are sharp tongued persons but Shatru has an edge over the orator through his humor and kamosh personality. Given Siddu's shayeri and body language combine (make a pair) they can challenge the ruling party men.

when Shatrugn Sinha speaks with his oratory skill he convincingly speaks the truth and speaks on behalf of Bharatiya Janata. Whereas the other man, Modi with his oratory skill tries to blackmail the public with his jumlas. While Shatrugn Sinha speaks in press conferences, Modi avoids the press conferences and speaks in rallies and party meetings and takes maun vrat all the time when confronted with reality.

Sour Grapes, Your backside is on fire as you did not get a lucrative ministership where you could have shown off your status and racked in the moolah without doing any work.

Like it happened in the past. But not anymore. So you now bad mouth the party.

All these mediocre dialogues may help you in a B grade movie but not elections. If not given a ticket from BJP next time around, you please contest independently or any other party, and see where you stand. Burnol helps though.

These Two Sinha's are duly enjoyed and benefited from BJP and now because they had not given the Power by way of making the ministers started revolt against party.

People should understand this and reject them if they contest in the next election. Such people should be rejected by people at all places. They should be branded as traitors which they are. People should watch all politicians and should not join hands with any one who talks against party simply because they did not get the ministership.

No party can give ministerial birth all the MP'S OR MLA'S . But all these people first wants ticket to contest then ministerial birth. They dont say what they did for the country but only big is that their wealth. Reject these people and elect the right ones who really work hard for the people and for the country. jai Hind.

SINHA JI, BJP doesn't require experienced, qualified, broad minded, liberals in running the Government!

That's why people like you, Advani, MM Joshi, Arun Shourie, Swamy have been left out!!!???

why don't you think so??? Don't you think you should find a alternative party to serve the country???

What is the qualification of BJP Ministers and their experience or views day by day in TV's and media??? You must introspect yourself if you really want to continue your carrier in politics!!! I salute you for expressing your frustration on your party policies since 52 months and ELECTION PROMISES OF 2014??? TRUST U WILL FIND A RIGHT PARTY SOON...

What is the use lamenting and pointing out.
If you really wish Janata's well-being and your concern for the country, come out and support the opposition. You have the capacity and this is the time to work unitedly to counter 'One man show' - 'three men Army'
Do not simply watch the show
