‘Even Oppn can’t oppose Ram temple in Ayodhya’, says RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

Haridwar, Oct 3 (PTI): RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has said even opposition parties cannot openly oppose a Ram temple in Ayodhya as the deity is revered by the country's majority.

At a function held at Patanjali Yogpeeth on Monday, Bhagwat said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are committed to constructing a Ram temple in Ayodhya but certain things take time.

He said it's important who occupies the seat of power and a government doing a good job should remain in office.

Every government has its limitations and has to perform within those constraints. However, saints and seers are beyond such limitations and they should work for the uplift of religion, country and society, the RSS chief said.

"Even opposition parties cannot openly oppose a Ram temple in Ayodhya as they are aware the deity is revered by a majority of Indians. But certain things take time," Bhagwat said.

"Every government has its limitations but a government doing a good job should remain in power. It is important who occupies the seat of power," he said.

Ramdev said sadhus will succeed where ministers and the rich often fail.

"The ministers and the rich must realise that saints and seers are more capable than them, that they can succeed where they often fail," the yoga guru said.

The renewed focus on Ram temple by the RSS, VHP and other Sangh affiliates is being seen as a desperate effort to woo Hindu votes as the Narendra Modi Government struggles to counter economic woes.
The issue of building the Ram temple in Ayodhya is being raised in a big way before the 2019 general elections and the process of polarisation around it has started. A major meeting of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will be held in Delhi on this issue on October 5 where monks and sages from all over the country will gather and issue a call for building the Ram temple.
Now that the Modi government at the centre has failed drastically on the economic front and is facing increasing pressure on the Rafale deal controversy, rising fuel prices, lack of jobs and police action on farmers, the renewed focus on Ram temple by the RSS, VHP and other radical Hindutva organisations is being seen as a desperate effort to woo Hindu votes.

The nation has just remembered Father of Mahatama Gandhi who was shot by the same organisation was assassinated at the age of 79 at the Birla House ... It is widely stated that Gandhi last words were "Hey Ram". For Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh before every crucial elections 'Lord Ram' is the vote machine.

Ram Temple issue emerges just before every election for BJP and dies soon after. The game is played over and over again, what is worse is there are many who minted money with this game. Poor faithful with lots of hope expect something to happen. But, what they know it is just a BJP/RSS game to get some votes, as they have nothing else to claim credit for.

Till this time, it was okey. Where BJP/RSS raised the issue, got the power and did nothing about it. But, the things have changed after Modi came to power. He made life miserable for common man who trusted him. The middle class whose small in banks is unsafe, in insurance companies unsafe, in stock market unsafe. This is financial safety that is gone. Then comes social safety, there are people snooping on bags, even someone carries 3KG chicken. That is gone. Then you have jobless youths struggling to find jobs, raising costs to take care of, education expenses going above head. That is again a problem. Sardar Patel statue gets erected in Gujarat, but gets manufactured in China. Such ironic.

Finally, when you look at India as a whole, economically weakening and now, our military superiority also getting compromised for some quick bucks.

It is high time for even the most devotee of Modi, to think it over and ponder where Modi led BJP, taking the country.

All true Hindus believe that God is one with different names. This is even written in Hindu holy books. But you have no religion so don't redicule others with your ignorance.
