Kundapur, Oct 4: Moodlakatte Institute of Technology here is establishing a Technical Business Incubator with the financial support of Karnataka Council for Technological Upgradation, a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka.
Announcing this at a press meet, director Dr Abdul Kareem said, “The objective of the incubator is to help new and startup companies to develop by providing services such as shared office space, management training, business and professional services necessary for nurturing and supporting early stage growth of technology and technology based enterprises.
"The center is well furnished in a 5000 sq ft state of the art building with 20 cubicles, well equipped Fab Lab and Testing Lab and aims at facilitating 20 incubatees per year. The center activities are governed and managed by well qualified and experienced experts. The incubator will be operational in two months."
Dr Kataiah G S, principal, Prof Melwin D’Souza, head of the department of Computer Science & Engineering and Prashanth N K, HR manager of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology were also present at the press meet.
