Ballari: Mohammed Ali studies in Gurukula, becomes scientific astrologer

Daijiworld Media Network - Bellary (MS)

Ballari, Oct 4: A Muslim youth, who was unhappy over the theology that was being followed in his house since the time of his ancestors, took up a course in astrology and is ready now to tell astrology in a scientific way.

This rare to find person is Mohammed Ali Khadri, a resident of Santhekadlur of Siruguppa taluk in the district. He is a well-versed astrologer now. As he has learnt astrology according to the rules, he is able to tell the astrology, which was told by his elders, as per the changed situation.

Mohammed Ali Khadri

Mohammed Ali Khadri had got admission into the Mayakara Gurukul near here. Dr Chandrashekar Banagar guided Mohammed Ali in this Gurukul which is registered under Karnataka Sanskrit University. After his pre-university studies, Mohammed Ali turned towards astrology. In the exam that was conducted in July 2018, he has scored an overall percentage of 61.25% and 64% in the astrology subject.

Khadri family known for Shastra

The Khadri family that resides in the Santhekadlur village of Siruguppa near the border of Karnataka with Andhra Pradesh, to which Mohammed Ali belongs to, is known since generations in telling traditional Shastra. People from all religions seek guidance from them. The elders of the family give solutions to the problem of each and every one, who comes seeking their help by the knowledge that is transferred them from their ancestors. However, now as Mohammed Ali has studied the astrology course, it will be easier and accurate for the family to give suggestions as per the rules of the astrology.

"I have learnt astrology in the Gurukul with the intention of practicing written astrology than the traditional astrology, which is based on the books of experience of elders that is passed on from generations to generations. I joined the course thinking that it is possible to tell accurate astrology if the same is studies in a systematic manner," says Mohammed Ali Khadri.

Some people claim that elements like iron never existed on Earth, and instead came from the meteorites.

According to science, such elements did in fact exist on earth, but more quantities came along, mercy of the meteorites.

Earth itself would have been part of a star (like Sun) once upon a time. And the meteorites would have mostly part of the same star as well.

But, astrology has no basis in science. None of the top 100 universities of the world teach it! It is just a belief.

If India wants to crack into the top 100 universities (as the whole Institution of Eminence by the HRD Ministry game-plan seems to indicate), India needs to separate fiction from the University subjects (except when it is a language subject).

Even though I do not believe that stars a million light years away have bearing on my future, I am happy that this young man had the courage to accept a different religious beliefs and displayed a secular outlook.

    @Reuben
Why is it hard to believe that stars that are millions and billions of miles away have no bearing on humans. The Elements present in the human body like Iron, Magnesium, Carbon, Hydrogen, Potassium, Sulphur, Phosphorous never existed on Earth but came to Earth through meteorites bombarding the Earth, billions of years ago. We have evolved from the same Earthly matter that has become a part of our physiology. When the Moon has an effect on the tides in the ocean and the flow of blood in your body, why can't celestial bodies like stars and planets that contain the same elements that are present in our bodies not have an influence on us. Just think about it.

Not theory. It's science. Google for better knowledge. God's creation is theory. By the way planets and stars are also God's creation.

Astrology is an unscientific subject. A renowned Kerala astrologer predicted less rains in Kerala and in reality Kerala got floods. Stop getting fooled and fooling people. Embrace scientific temper and rational thinking to contribute to Indias development.

totally agree with you. we should think scientifically. We should think & practice as per present society needs. No one has seen god but still we are fighting in the name of god. Science never believe the god concept. Then why this one god/multiple god & prayer and all?

Astrology seems to be the only stream of study in India that will ensure the learner will earn well.

It is not based on any science. But most Indians take recourse to it.

    Good move by Mohammed Ali.

If you strictly interpret Islamic preaching, then probably more than half the things we use or follow in today's world is banned.

Does that mean that Muslims have no right of choice in deciding their own personal life matters?

rampanna ... ofcourse we human beings have our own choice.. but like in china the govt decides what people can do what they cant do .. in many religions the religious or community leaders decide what thier followers must do.... especially in islam .. if you were a follower of islam you would know what i meant..
