Bantwal: Demolition of Mother Mary grotto at Kulal - two more held

Bantwal, Oct 5: In connection with the alleged desecration of Mother Mary grotto at Kulal near Kolnadu village and hoisting of idols and flags there, the Vittal police have arrested two persons. With this, the total number of arrested persons connected with this incident has risen to four.

The arrested persons are Vasanth Naik (37) and Yogesh Naik (32), residents of the village. They were arrested from Salethur. On being produced in the court, they were remanded to judicial custody, the police stated.

A case under certain legal provisions stands registered against them.

Vittal police had received a complaint that on the night of September 27, the grotto dedicated to Mother Mary within the limits of Vittal - Kolnadu village had been destroyed by miscreants who had hoisted a saffron flag there. The police had earlier arrested locals, Jayaram Naik and Monappa Naik relating to this case.

    I am sure these four didnt demolish of their own.Someone behind them gave some money to do it.By the way all these four Nayaks made plan before or how come they met together?Silly people.ask them who was the leader.and who can proove it is a Govt.land?Noone can build illegal in Govt.land.Can church show any proove to it?Let these help now to restore it.Instead of simply sitting in jail.

    Before these four accused get legal assistance from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh legal team in each district, punish them with hard labour like stone quarry, road construction or public toilet cleaning.

    Unless these people don't understand the hardship and get clean chit without punishment they will be groomed to become another politician of India just like lynching accused are prepared in India to contest Lok Sabha election in Uttar Pradesh.

    The Grotto is NOT in their Property. If they don't like the sight - avoid it? No one makes them go that
    way but a few drops of Arak.
