Dubai, Oct 6: The much hyped Kannada Film, ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ a maiden venture of youth leader Ashwin J Pereira’s ICARE movies, had a ticket release function at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama Dubai on October 5 at 6 pm. The movie is all set to release across UAE on November 2, 9 and 16 in many theaters.

For the first time ever, six producers joined together on a single dais for this special occasion along with entrepreneur philanthropist actor singer Joseph Mathias, Editor-in-Chief of Daijiworld, Walter Nandalike, president of KCO-Abu Dhabi, Valerian Dalmaida of News Karnataka and Dublin Group of Companies businessman Andrew Aranha. Along with them were producer Harish Sherigar, producer Maxim Pereira, producer Harish Bangera, producer Ronald Martis, producer Ashwin Pereira and producer Shodhan Prasad who did the honours.

Well-known MC Utham Menezes welcomed the audience and invited all the guests on to the dais. He then briefed the audience on the film Asathoma Sadgamaya and the important message hidden in the movie which is ‘IQ verses EQ’. He said it is all about the family relationships and emotions when education system in India is concerned; and also connecting the current trend in the educational institutions especially those government schools which are fading away. The ‘taken for granted’ attitude by our own people has sidelined these institutions in front of English medium institutions which boast to be the best.

Utham then mentioned about the sudden death of Seema Alvares wife of actor Stany Alvares just a day ago in Mangaluru and requested everyone to stand up in respect and have a condolence prayer for the departed soul to rest in peace.

Followed was prayer with ‘shanti mantra’ to inaugurate the programme and soon after was lighting the traditional lamp by all the guests on the dais. Actors Pradeep Barboza and Deepak Paladka also joined to do the honours.

Producer Ashwin later welcomed all the guests and audience and briefed on his journey from student to builder promoter and then into his venture in film making. He said this long journey gave him lot of experience into reality. He shared some of his past experience back in Moodabidri, where he belongs to, especially about his education tenure where and how he completed his technical qualification which has some connections to the story of the movie he has now produced. This inspired him to produce the movie and is happy that he is presenting a movie which has a beautiful message for the audience which is relevant in the current situation. Technically this movie is very well made and appreciated wherever released, he added. He said that obviously he has produced this movie to make money not for himself but if it does; it will provoke him to produce more movies in the future which will ultimately give entertainment for all our Kannadigas. He said that there are lot of budding artistes in our Mangalorean circles whom we need to support and said he is happy to introduce Pradeep Barboza and Deepak Paladka to Sandalwood for the first time though they have already acted and are well-known in Coastalwood movies.

The trailers of the film were then played with different versions which were well applauded by the audience. The film is being directed by Rajesh Venoor whose maiden directorial venture is ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’. The star cast include lead actress Radhika Chetan, Rangeetaranga fame who has for her credit ten movies in Kannada and the lead actor Kiran Raj who also has acted in another Kannada film released recently. Lasya Nagaraj and Baby Chitrali along with Pradeep Barboza and Deepak Paladka are in the lead roles. Wahab Saleem is the music director and Vijaya Prakash and Anuradha Bhat along with other singers have rendered their melodious voice in this film. Nelson Kulshekar and Vikram are the executive producers of the move. Cinematography by Kishore and background score is by Manikant Kadri.

Utham then requested Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld to speak about the movie he has witnessed during the Mangaluru release and share his views. Walter started humorously and then said that normally he seldom watches movie in the theaters and even if he does, he will not sit long and will come out before the interval itself. Asathoma Sadgamaya made him sit and watch till the end mainly because of the grip and suspense. He said that the movie created good inquisitiveness especially post interval and said it is a pure combination of technicality, good music, songs and story.

Later Joseph Mathias, Valerian Dalmaida, Harish Sherigar, Harish Bangera, Maxim Pereira and Ronald Martis spoke on the occasion and wished Ashwin Pereira for success. In common they all said that movie making is a pure gamble where the success mainly lies in the hand of the audience and simultaneously luck should go hand in hand. All the producers requested that as an audience one should support them every time so that they will get encouraged in providing more pure social entertainment in the future.

Utham then requested the guests to do the honours of releasing the movie ticket which was unfolded from the orange draped cloth. The samples of the tickets were held with the pamphlet copies as the tickets were officially opened up. Immediately Harish Sherigar grabbed the first few books to start with which was followed by other producers and audience who poured in reserving theirs too. Valerian Dalmaida took all the Abu Dhabi show tickets and said that more than 150 people as of now have already booked for the show of 300 seats. Utham leading the Sharjah shows said that he will see that the Sharjah too will witness houseful shows. In Dubai, two shows were also almost booked in full and producer is planning to have additional shows which will be announced soon.

Artistes Dayan D’Souza, NanuMarol, Godwin Castelino, Paul Paladka, Alwyn Pinto, Dainy D’Souza, Roystan Kiran D’Souza and Laveena Fernandes were also present.

Mickey Castelino, Ajmal Sayyed, Nithyanand Beskoor, Pramod Kumar, Satish Shetty, Veena Shetty, Santosh Prabhu and Sudharshan Hegde were also some of the well-known leaders of various community associations present during the programme.

Shodhan Prasad delivered the vote of thanks and requested everyone to keep supporting all the movies produced by Kannadigas irrespective of the language, caste and creed.

The movie is all set for release on 2nd November in Dubai, 9th November in Sharjah and 16th November, 2018 in Abu Dhabi.
