BJP was advised to make tall promises to come to power: Nitin Gadkari

New Delhi, Oct 10 (DC): Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari’s statement to a Marathi television channel aired recently will not only cause the ruling party much embarrassment but has also given more teeth to the Congress to attack Narendra Modi government of coming to power by making “tall promises”.

The video shared by Congress president Rahul Gandhi, shows Gadkari saying the Narendra Modi government came to power on the basis of unrealistic promises.

The video, which is part of an interview with a Marathi television channel, shows Gadkari speaking about how the BJP never estimated to come to power in 2014.

“We were very certain that we can never come to power. So we were advised to make tall promises. If we don’t come to the power, we won’t be responsible anyway,” Gadkari told in an interview to the Marathi channel.

“Now that we are in power, people remind us of our promises. However, these days, we just laugh and move on,” Gadkari added.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Rahul Gandhi said Gadkari had proved that the BJP government was “built on jumlas and fake promises”.

Rahul Gandhi also took a dig at the Modi government and said, “You are right (Gadkari). Even the people think that the BJP used their dreams and faith for the party’s gain to come to power.”

In August, Gadkari had left the government red-faced after he said that reservation would not guarantee employment as jobs were shrinking in the country while referring to the Maratha agitation.

Every party makes big poll promises and ditches. It is same around the world. Modi led BJP is not blamed for that.

The biggest crime Modi led BJP has done is discrediting people like Dr. MMS who is one of the finest individual and done extremely well to improve india's socio-economic position along with congress.

The second crime is Modi led BJP has not taken the country ahead, it is walking backwards. Economically and socially growing weaker than what is took charge from. People sight this report and that report. They are just statistics. Reality is actually bites. Paying higher petrol prices is not just one thing, joblessness, social unrest, which has its own repercussions.

The third crime of Modi led BJP is corruption, though came in as anti-corruption crusader, every thing has a stink of corruption. Rafael is just one part of it. With nobody to watch over it with getting only friends in positions of CBI, ED etc., further with full majority in parliament, it is impossible to expose corruption.

The fourth crime is setting beside corrupt and criminals, while tormenting honest. This is giving a open invitation for all corrupt and criminals to join hands with BJP to harass people to get done what their bosses want.

The fifth crime is dismantling systematically each of the institutions built to safe-guard democratic principles. Media has become puppet, Planning Commission given death sentence and new commission is bought, Election commission works hard to get the tampered EVM's protected rather than getting eliminated. Like this many more..

Each of these got a consequence and its dangers are impossible even to comprehend.

Without any affiliation to any party or individual, what Ghadkari remarks are very right. For that matter, all Politicians are the same, so far, since there are only 2 major parties, where the people are the same! Unfortunately, we the people become so blind and dumb, we do not pursue our dreams actively, rather end up following the dreams of Politicians, which they all know very well. Never the less, at the market level, India is doing well.

I am not a follower of any party but yes I respect and admire the economic growth of India.

No party will fulfill their promises what they declare in their manifesto. However considering the economic growth present government will take the credit. IMF has given the credit for GST and demonetization for the present economic growth. ( IMF retains India FY19 growth outlook at 7.3% The IMF expects the current account deficit to worsen to 3% of GDP in the current fiscal year before improving to 2.5% in FY20. ... In its latest World Economic Outlook, the IMF said India will grow 7.3% in FY19 and 7.4% in FY20. It had in January forecast FY20 growth at 7.5%)

My dear read the article clearly or atleast if you understand Marati listen carefully.

He clearly said BJP never estimated to be in power in 2014 - whereas Maharastra election took place in 2015.

Atleast hope now you understood, and now stop your old tactics of blaming congress. BJPhas shown its most selfish face. To be in existence, you will spare nobody, God over, Temple Over, country . soldiers over. Now it has even played with the emotions of the common man, and people like you blindly support it. What an Irony!!! Grow up man.
