Riyadh: Azka Study Circle's Get-together Unites KSA Mangaloreans

Riyadh, Nov 6: "Azka Study Circle established some five month ago is the newly-born Association with the aim of doing constructive community activities, mainly imparting education especially religious education to the children as well as adults of Mangalorean residents in Riyadh,” said Yousuf Sakhafi Baithar, founding president of Azka Study Circle in his introductory speech on the occasion of its get-together held recently in Riyadh.

The get-together was a grand success as more than two thousand Manglaoreans from all parts of the Kingdom attended. Variety of programmes for children, men and women were held on the occasion. Volleyball, cricket, tug-of-war for men, gunny bag race, tug-of-war and other events for children were organized. Quiz competition and other events for ladies were also arranged. Daff programme was the main attraction of the function, where Islamic songs, songs of Indian patriotism were sung melodiously by the team. Spot quiz competition was organized on the dais and the winners were given prize instantly. 

Yusuf Sakhafi Baithar, Husain Yermal (Hyundai), Abubaker Padubidri and others were on the frontline to make the event a memorable one. Zakir Beltangady compered the event.
