Udupi, Oct 11: SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi is organizing a three-day induction programme from October 11 to 13. The inaugural ceremony was conducted on Thursday, October 11 in Bhavaprakasha Auditorium.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr G Shrinivasa Acharya, principal, SDMCA, Udupi, Dr Mamatha KV, medical superintendent, SDMAH, Udupi, Dr Niranjan Rao, dean, PG studies, Dr Nagaraj S, associate dean, PG studies, Dr Suchetha Kumari, UG welfare dean and UG associate dean, Dr Veera Kumara by offering flowers to Lord Dhanwantari.
The invocation was sung by Dr Annapoorna and Dr Manjushri, internee, SDMAH, Udupi. Dr Mamatha KV, medical superintendent, SDMAH welcomed the gathering. Dr Ravindra Angadi, member of best practices committee and professor and head, department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, gave a brief introduction of college and hospital. Rules and regulations of the college were introduced Dr Suchetha Kumari, UG welfare dean. The presidential address was given by Dr G Shrinivasa Acharya, principal, SDMCA, Udupi. The vote of thanks was given by Dr Veera Kumara, associate dean, UG
studies.
An exhibition of medicinal plants was organized by the folklore medicine research centre of the college. The programme was compered by Dr Likhita D N, assistant professor, department of Basic Principles, Udupi.
