Mangaluru: Police confiscate 15 boats laden with illegal sand

Mangaluru, Oct 24: Police raided illegal sand stored near Talapady on the outskirts of the city and confiscated 15 boats in which the sand was stored.

This operation was carried out by the police under the leadership of Ullal station officer Gopikrishna on Wednesday, October 24.

Ullal police have registered a case.



Dakshina Kannada district has been having sand shortage in the recent past.
