Chitradurga: Mother separates daughter from husband – conducts another marriage

Daijiworld Media Network - Chitradurga (SP)

Chitradurga, Oct 25:  In a strange incident reported from the town, a woman who was not prepared to digest the fact that her daughter had eloped with and married a boy she was in love with, separated the couple and performed the girl's marriage with her brother. Her main grouse was that the man her daughter married belongs to a caste separate from her own.

Sridhar from Hiriyoor in the district and Priya from the town were in love with each other. Because of caste barrier, the families were against this alliance. Therefore, the two married each other at Mahadeshwara Hill and started to live together at Hiriyoor.

Priya's mother, Vijayalakshmi Bai, who is employed with BESCOM, was unable to accept this marriage. She forcibly separated her daughter from her son-in-law, brought her home. Later she conducted her marriage with brother, Raghavendra, at Murugha Math.

After the second marriage, Priya escaped from the family and reached Sridhar's home. Thereafter the couple registered their marriage in the office of the sub-registrar here. However, the mother again came and forcibly took away her daughter home, it is said.

Respect starts from the day when such involvements happen in one's home. Saying and doing are both two different things. People failed on that time..and started to behave agressively.

Here you can see the ordeal of parents prevents there childrens to take wrong step. Daughter without thinking of family...eloped with her love. Before falling in love let youngsters think what's right what's wrong. Small girls below ten years are having boy friends. Government in parliament introduce bill to ban valentine's day..cause of all these problems.

    Vicky Shah,
Do you think, if government bans valentine day, these kind of incidents going to vanish?
Love is beyond any restriction, no one can stop people from loving, any adult has right to choose his/her life partner, and banning any event is not going to stop this.
