CBI row: Rahul Gandhi to lead protest outside agency headquarters on Friday

New Delhi, Oct 26 (IANS): Stepping up its attack over the midnight removal of CBI Director Alok Verma, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said he would lead a protest outside agency's headquarters in the national capital on Friday.

He said the party would also protest outside all the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) offices across the country.

"Tomorrow, outside CBI offices nationwide, the Congress party will protest the Prime Minister's (Narendra Modi) disgraceful attempt to prevent an investigation into the Rafale scam by removing the CBI Chief," Gandhi said.

Gandhi said he would lead the protest outside the CBI hadquarters in south Delhi's Lodhi road area at 11 a.m.

Earlier in the day Gandhi sharpened his attack on Modi, saying Verma was "removed in panic" because he was going to begin a probe into the controversial Rafale deal that would have been "suicidal" for Modi. The BJP has said that the Congress chief was spreding falsehood over the issue.

In a dramatic midnight action, the government on Wednesday divested CBI chief Verma of his charge and made Joint Director M. Nageshwar Rao interim director.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) took the decision past midnight as war between CBI chief Verma and Special Director Rakesh Asthana escalated over bribery allegations hurled at each other.

Asthana was also divested of all supervisory charges on Tuesday.

IF these duo dictators of democracy elected again in 2019 its almost impossible to control on them ! even they start the semi dictator democracy literally ! one will go around the world to get the business to the Industrialist and sign the deal. Another will stay back in India and make unrest between the communities and other political parties so they can rule as per his dream. Our BHAKTHA will support them from their bottom of heart and make India as another POOKISTAN!

Ha ha.. Jobless guy...this will be a big flop show. Rafale Raga is very frustrated as CBI is getting cleaned and there will be no one to help him and Chidu hide all the corrupt cases.

    @ SK

Do make some noise if any left. Because, it because f 'jobless' RaGa that the nation got to know BJP's 'Ulai-Guttu' about Rafale. Its because of him that people got to know how Modi gave job to jobless, inexperienced Ambani, a broth snatched straight away from the mouth of HAL employees. You or me could have been the employees of HAL - how would you have felt it ? RaGa made us realize exactly this.

Jobless, now you ponder - Ambani, or RaGa ??

Jenifer. Rambling about the ' Ullai Guttu' for couple of days wont help. He or his team, party, or who ever has to file a case with relevant facts against the Govt. Only then will people take him or Cong seriously. If not it will go down as just another clowning ploy to deviate peoples attention from his 30 plus defeat record and losing base of Cong everywhere with only 2 states left. Talking about experience, whats admin experience does RaGa have for being the PM ? expect for losing elections and gifting state after state? Also HAL was never considered for bigger defense projects even during the previous 4-5 decades of Cong regime. Even HAL never permitted for RaGa's gathering or speech in its campus and hence was shifted to some park nearby. Its obvious.

Ha Ha Ha. You or me will never get into HAL, its only reservation based criteria. This orgnization has been there since independence when Cong ruled India most of the time . No one took it seriously . Pappu is just tryin to play politics by pretending to be their messiah. BTW HAL did not permit his comedy show in their premises. You can very well imagine, where this is heading to.

Except some hardcore Rahul fans no one is taking Rafale seriously as there is no scam in the first place. They have not even filed a case because they know there is nothing there. Let Rahool and his fans keep shouting.
Lots of street dogs bark at night to make noise but no one takes them seriously.

The CBI has lost all its credibility. Modi may try all his Jhumla to stall the investigations into the Rafale Scam, but he needs to know that the country wants an Answer and he will have to sooner than later agree to a Parlimentary probe, CBI Probe as petitioned by Yashwant Sinha, Arun Shouris and Prashant Bhushan and agree for a Supreme Court monitored independent probe .

Since Modi hemself is involved in this scam, it will be nice if steps down so that an impartial proble can estab;ish the Truth and nothing but the Truth.
