Modi has failed the electorate: Manmohan singh

New Delhi, Oct 26 (IANS): Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday criticised his successor for failing the electorate and "vitiating" the environment of national institutions such as the CBI and universities.

Speaking at the release of a book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, titled 'The Paradoxical Prime Minister: Narendra Modi and His India' by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, Singh said the "idea of India" is under threat under Modi and that voters' faith in his words and promises has eroded.

"The government he (Modi) presides over has been mostly silent in the face of widespread communal violence, mob lynching, and cow vigilantism ... the environment of our universities and national institutions like teh CBI has been vitiated," he said.

"On the economic front, nothing concrete has been done to bring back the promised billions allegedly held abroad as black money. A hastily implemented demonetisation and GST have proved to be disastrous for economy.

"Petrol and diesel prices are at historic high despite the fall in international crude oil prices because the Modi government chose to levying excessive excise duty instead of passing on the benefit of the low prices to the people of India," he said.

Singh termed the Modi government as having achieved "nothing more than a series of empty gestures" and characterized it with "foolhardy initiatives".

Ruling and Managing the State or Panchayat is totally difference from Ruling multilingual , multicultural and Multi Religion India.

56 Inch Chest thumping his guts less chest and giving big talk during the time of election.

India was so lucky that, it got Multination PM in 2014, who spend more time in abroad than India.
Adding fuel to fire rather than sitting and doing good governance , toured all over India for state election campaign due to in-compete state BJP leaders.

Rather than using his own wisdom, he listened more to " Sathya Harischandra" Subbu , who was instrumental in kicking our RBI Governor Rangarajan.

Economy became mess. Billions of Black money still abroad. No guts to publish / submitting the list to SC for black money. Undermined the 75 years experience HAL, which is producing " SUKOI MKI " fighter jets to Indian Air force. Accusing the past ruling party for his present failure.

Hon L.L Advani who frequently calling M.M Singh as " Maun Mohan Singh. But he cant call our PM as " Maunendra Modi" for total silence for Black money, Lynching, Beef Export, Note Bandhi, Rafael ..etc....

Why the people kicked out chaddiless in 2014? Because they failed ppl in all respect. Even PM from 2004 to 2014 had entered the Parliament from back door as he himself has been failed by public. When chaddiless r ready to make a person who was in ruling party for 10 years and not able to get even a state level ministership as PM candidate clearly shows the slave mentality of chaddiless.

Lies! MMS along with his party had lost LS polls in 1999, so where is the question of back door entry? In 2004 INC came back to power and MMS (didn't contest LS polls) entered Parliament as RS member. But Jaitlie and Irani have entered through back door as they were rejected by the people in the very SAME TERM, ie 2014 - 2019 in LS polls.
BJP won 2014 because of Jumla promises which you can't deny as it has been openly admitted by Shah and Gadkari. To quote Gadkari's own words ' We had no hope of winning 2014 polls, hence were advised to make tall promises, and now when we talk about it, we just laugh it off'
