Udupi, Oct 29: The muhurtha of first Konkani movie of RSB community 'Baayo' was held here at RSB Bhavana in Manipal on Sunday October 28.
Goudapadacharya Kaivalya math Shivananda Saraswathi swamiji inaugurated the program.
The movie is based on a true story revolving around a woman from rural area and her sacrifices.
The entire cast and crew of the movie will be belonging to the RSB community. The shooting will be held for 15 days in and around Udupi, Mangaluru and Bengaluru.
Mangaluru city corporation joint commissioner M Gokul Das Nayak presided over the program. Mangaluru CAMPCO president S R Sathishchandra, revenue department joint-secretary Sadashiva Prabhu Yellare, Mangaluru Vishwa Konkani Kendra president Basti Vamana Shenoy and Konkani Sahitya Academy president R P Nayak were present.
