Riyadh, Nov 12: Saudi Police authorities have achieved a major breakthrough in the murder case of Jokatte Ismail as they are well-named for their strategy of detection of any crime being committed by anyone in Saudi Arabia. It has been informed that some clues have been found in the case, which will, for sure, be evident within two-three days as a person (an Indian) was taken into police custody in this connection. “A drop of blood that touched the land is enough for them to trace the criminals” is a weighty say by an authority when they took the dead body from the spot. While knowing the matrix of the case, the murder was possibly committed for the money matter. Jokatte Ismail Idinabba (this is his full name as it was missing in the first news report) alias Unnimonu, aged about 38 years, was brutally murdered at his room on last Sunday November 9 night. He had been in the Kingdom since around 18 years and was presently working at a Nightgowns (Lingeries) Warehouse at Bath’ah.
It has been informed to the Daijiworld Correspondent from reliable sources that Ismail was providing the raw materials for dress-making to some tailors in and around Bath’ah, who are from Uttar Pradesh; so, there was dealing with the tailors; one month back, there was an exchange of heated words between Ismail and another person in his store room regarding the financial issue. The person threatened Ismail and Ismail got him out of his stores. The person was seen by the Ismail’s close relative who was present at the time. When the kin asked Ismail who was that person, the latter said that he would take car of this issue…..After that, the person never showed up in his store, but he can easily identify that person….”the kin said on the condition of anonymity.
Last night, P A Hameed, the Correspondent of Daijiworld, personally met the Ismail’s close relatives and friends from Jokatte and other places including his uncle, nephew and brother-in-law (his wife’s brother) to have more and accurate information about the incident. According to Muhammad, Ismail’s uncle who is working in Riyadh, around 6 pm on Sunday, Usman Suralpady, Ismail’s brother-in-law spoke to him over mobile phone about Usman’s daughter’s marriage and his date of departure to India to attend the marriage soon etc. When he contacted again around 7-7.30 pm, his mobile was out of contact; he tried 2-3 times, but no response. The attempt was also repeated next day, but it was fully switched off. He tried to contact him through various sources, but it went in vain. Finally, he told Muhammad about his futile effort to contact Ismail. By the time, the shocking news about Ismail’s murder was heard by the both and they immediately arrived to his room, where Ismail was lying in the pool of blood wearing full-sleeved in-shirt and socks. The things were scattered in one corner of the stores. The incident was immediately informed to the police who rushed to the spot instantly and took the dead body after the spot mahzar.
The incident probably took place around 7 pm (during Isha (Night) Prayer time) on Sunday as per Muhammad, and the criminals equipped with sharp weapons followed him while he was entering into his room with the ulterior motive of killing him as his neck was chopped up sharply. When Daijiworld Correspondent asked them whether money or valuables were taken by the criminals, they said nothing as such; but some important log books about the clients/customers were missing from the place…..”
Daijiworld correspondent has also been to the building where the incident took place, which is situated in the end of the lane crossing from Lucky Café and opposite R T.Restaurant at Bath’ah. The room was locked/sealed off by the authorities for further investigation. As per the Saudi Criminal Procedure Code & Shariah Law, if any accused is proved of his guilt of commission of murder, he will be punished with the capital punishment amounting to execution/beheading unless the blood relatives of the victim pardon him/her. The accused will also be imprisoned until the disposal of the case.
The dead body has been kept in the mortuary at Sumeshi Hospital in Riyadh for further investigation and legal formalities as per the law of the Kingdom. No one is being allowed to visit the hospital to see the remains due to some security reasons as the case is of unnatural death. The legal documents from the widow and mother of the deceased for permitting the disposal of the dead body in the Kingdom are underway. The disposal may be slowed down for three-four days or more until the real culprit is caught.
The deceased hailed from Jokatte in Mangalore. He was the son of the late Idinabba and Beebi couple. He is survived by his mother, wife and two minor sons, brothers and sisters and other relatives and friends.
