Reveal pricing, strategic details of Rafale aircraft in 10 days: SC to Centre

New Delhi, Oct 31(DC): Supreme Court today asked Centre to give details of the pricing and strategic details of the Rafale aircraft in a sealed cover to court in 10 days.

The court also asked the central government to disclose information of the jet deal which can be legitimately put in public domain and information on induction of Indian off-set partner be furnished to petitioners who filed PILs, reported ANI.

"We would like the details of pricing and cost to be submitted to the Supreme Court in a sealed cover. This may be submitted in the next 10 days," said a bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi.

Supreme Court has now fixed the matter for hearing on November 14, said documents considered strategic and confidential may not be shared.

The order came in response to batch of petitions including a joint plea filed by former Union Ministers Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie along with Prashant Bhushan, into the Rafale fighter jet deal.

I havent seen bigger idiots in my life than the Pee Party Bhakths.. They seem to have their brains in their pants and hence the only thing that comes out is shitty ideas and justifications... This Jumla Party has been fooling the nation with the secrecy clause that if the price is revealed than other nations will know the technical specifications of the aircraft.. Wars are won on strategies and tactics, not shear power alone.. Vietnam and the Afgan war(Russia) bear the best testaments to this... our Blind bhakths a have holes in their brains through which any common sense that is prevailing is also leaking out.. Pitty them...

This is a good decision by the SC. too much mudslinging on this deal and shady decisions which need to be cleared for all general public.. After all such a huge deal which has got the world attention will only ruin our credibility of being a country with fair business practices if not thoroughly investigated.. Pee party should be glad of this decision, if it comes clean its a huge boost and if not then god help the bhakths...

The law and judicial processes play a huge role in all our lives. It governs our behavior, it protects our rights and property. I am a lawyer and I strongly believe that all Indians should be able to see and understand how the Supreme Court of India functions.

When people understand how the judiciary functions it gives them more power, it gives them the tools to protect their rights, it gives them more respect and confidence in the judiciary.

India’s Supreme Court decided on Wednesday it would start live-streaming some of its cases in a bid to increase transparency and prevent overcrowding in the courtrooms.

The court said in its 106-page order “Live-streaming of court proceedings is manifestly in public interest,”.

In the past in an unprecedented move, four sitting senior Supreme Court judges have revolted against the chief justice of India (CJI), accusing him of compromising the spirit of democracy in the country and demanding corrective measures to preserve judicial autonomy.
A press conference in New Delhi on by justices J. Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, MB Lokur and Kurian Joseph highlighted the growing rift between senior judges and CJI Dipak Misra.

Today Ranjan Gogoi became Chief Justice of India. When the national interest is in compromising position, the transparency of the Indian justice system now became private affairs in 'sealed envelope'.

    1. How the Supreme Court will ensure confidence in Judiciary to the citizens of India when the common man and just media has no visibility of the content of the enclosed?
    2. Why the Supreme Court is not questioning the central government why the initial contract is canceled unilaterally by Prime Minister Modi?
    3. How do the 15 days old newly floated company by Anil Ambani's Reliance qualify for the offset contract worth Rs60,000 crores which facing Ericson notification to Anil Ambani to prevent him from living India?
    4. How does Anil Ambani become part of the delegation of Prime Minister Modi to France?

    Mahesh,

No citizen is interested in knowing what is inside the envelop - all what a common man wants to know is, how Anil Ambani's Reliance more qualified than HAL for manufacturing Rafale.

If Manufacture of combat craft to outsourced, what is the meaning of 'Make in India' ? Did Modi take world tour to find out manufacturers outside, or to bring jobs to Indians ?

The information that is covered under the Officials Secrets Act cannot be put under the public domain as it will definitely compromise the security of the nation and also no nation does that in the entire world..................... Anyway SC said that just mention the later very reasons in an affidavit and file before it and so SC is not forcing the government to part with secret and strategic information including the price of the deal.

Provided that the entire payment is made by Modi Govt. If payment is partly made (obviously India can't dig our such huge amount within such short time) and Modi is to be ousted in May 2019, the supplier will not get a penny more than the amended figure. Therefore, such possibility is very thin.

However, her visit might to ensure that the supplier keeps secret about kick back paid to whoever it might have been.

    No ways at all.
BJP big-wigs were trying to hide the truth by giving different version’s and clarifications. Instead they should have taken the matter in the parliament and produced all the documents and must have made it black & white being more transparent but they did not agree. Now they cannot cheat the SC.

Final nail in BJP's election Coffin.
Ravi Shankar Prasad, Jaitley, Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP spokesperson and host of others were defending their bad move and giving false reasons to justify their secret Rafale deal. Different time different explanations and the final moment has come to hit final nail into BJP coffin.
Modi must have thought that people are ignorant and he would succeed in dodging them.
