Mangaluru: Main accused in cocaine supplying case arrested

Mangaluru, Oct 31: Mangaluru CCB police on Wednesday, October 31, arrested the main accused who was supplying cocaine from Goa to drug peddlers in Mangaluru.

CCB police had arrested five suspects in August this year near Maroli, Mangaluru East police station limits and confiscated cocaine worth Rs 70,000, three cars, cash and mobile phones from them.

The person who supplied cocaine to them from Goa was absconding. Mangaluru city CCB police and Mangaluru east station police who obtained details about him arrested Ajmal Pulikkal Mohammed (44), who stays at present at Ana Vaddo, near Dokle hospital, Candolim, Goa. He is a permanent resident of Green House, Aiglodi road, Kunjathore, Kasargod.

A police case for holding duplicate passport also was registered against him at Ullal police station in 2008.

CCB unit inspector Shantaram and staff, Mangaluru East police station inspector Maruthi Nayak and staff took part in the arrest operation.
