125 Crude Bombs Found in Kannur, Kerala

TOI

Kannur, Nov 13: Police on Thursday unearthed 125 powerful crude bombs from a vacant plot at north Poilur, about 45km from here, in this politically sensitive district.

The bombs, kept in four gunny bags, were found concealed in a bush at Maliyad Kunnu under the Kolavalloor police station limits by a raiding police party led by Thalassery DySP Prakashan, a senior police official said. Top police officials have rushed to the spot.

Police had intensified raids in the area following the death of two RSS activists in a bomb explosion at nearby Cheruvanchery on Nov 10 as the youth were suspected to have been engaged in either making or shifting the crude bombs.

A day after the death of RSS men on Monday last, Police had recovered 18 crude bombs from a private plot, some 100 metres away from the site of the powerful explosion.

It is  shocking news to know that police have traced the bomb. Even it is more shocking that the people  involved in this is RSS activists. At least now we feel that the RSS has come out with its true color to the Public.

The brains behind these crude bombs, filled with hatred and having an obsession for power have to be unearthed, tackled and made public without any delay. They are more dangerous than the crude bombs as they've the potentiality to make more bombs.Arresting a few culprits who have become the scapegoat may not be the solution. The involvement of those who are funding these organizations, who mastermind the plan, who motivate them have to be nabbed. Police needs to have an efficient network with a real intelligence.

A short term and and a long term policy to stop terrorism needs to be planned. Above all the police needs to be alert and vigilant, at the same time daring to catch some big fish. Public irrespective of religion, region, language needs to cooperate to eradicate this evil. Remember the victims of the explosion could be any one of us or our own. May be you, I or anybody. So let us think in a different way, let us change our attitude and thinking. Terrorism is not the solution for any problem. Let us all voice together- "STOP TERRORISM" "ATANKVAD BAND KARO". Every institution, every caste religion, region needs to express their displeasure and organize protest rallies in a peaceful way, against terrorism. How long are we going to become the victims of the politicians' stunts?
