New Delhi, Nov 1: Tulu movie, 'Paddayi', which had bagged the 'Best Tulu Film' award this year, has been chosen for being screened at the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) - 2018. It will be exhibited in the Indian Panorama section of the festival being held between November 20 and 28.

This film festival will be held at Goa, said information and broadcasting ministry on Wednesday October 31. No Kannada film has made the grade this year whereas Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' has been chosen under mainstream cinema. Malayalam feature film ‘Olu’ will be the opening film to be screened at the Indian panorama section of the festival.

A feature film jury having 13 members and chaired by well-known director and screenplay writer, Rahul Rawail, chose 22 movies in total for being screened at IFFI's Indian Panorama section. The other three mainstream films alongside 'Olu' to get the nod for being exhibited at the festival happen to be Raazi (Hindi), Tiger Zinda Hai (Hindi), Mahanti (Telugu).
