Soldier killed in Pakistan firing on LoC


Jammu, Nov 10 (IANS): An Indian Army soldier was killed on Saturday in a Pakistani ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, a defence officer said.

"The Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Sunderbani at around 9.45 a.m.," Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand said.

The soldier succumbed to injuries from sniper fire, Anand added.
