'No new jets since 1985, that's why Rafale,' IAF tells Supreme Court

New Delhi, Nov 14(DC): The Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its verdict on a bunch of petitions demanding a probe into the Rafale deal.

A bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices S K Kaul and K M Joseph today concluded the arguments advanced by various parties which have sought court-monitored probe into procurement of 36 Rafale fighter jets from France.

The pleas also sought registration of FIR in connection with the alleged irregularities in the deal.

The hearing comes two days after the Centre submitted in a sealed cover handed over a 14-page document titled "Details of the steps in the decision making process leading to the award of 36 Rafale fighter aircraft order" to the petitioners in the case.

The government had also filed in the court in a sealed cover the pricing details of the Rafale jets.

There is an article in economic times "The plane truth about Rafale deal is so hard to see?" Abhijit Iyer-Mitra - i request you to read this article and get a clearer picture. In this article its mentioned for what price other countries puchased rafeal and what price India purchased and its benefits for India and also why it was given to Ambani.

And everyone keep on saying "tax payers money" , in india only 1.5% people pay income tax.

The question wasn't "why Rafale" ?

The question is why Ambani ?
The question is why at more than the double the price ?
The question is why cancel HAL ?

I am sure the IQ levels of CJ is anytime better than Bhakhts.

The judgement is not out yet.
Whatever provided by the government, The supreme court will decide the legality of the process. Not you or me.
But, we have the right to question. Will keep mum after the Judgement.

All eyes are on the Honourable Supreme Court for Justice. Its the tax payers money and the taxpayer has a right to know the procedure, the pricing, the reason for sidelining HAL and giving it to a business who has never been an aircraft manufacturer, and the names of the decision makers in this Rafale deal.

BJP struggling to defend itself and losing big time to argue its case and fight in SC. The reasons BJP stating are very silly and SC can easily give ruling against it. BJP's allies Dessault CEO, IAF, defence minister and PM are giving statements which doesn't have basis. BJP is desperately trying to hide one lie by saying 100 white lies. More than anybody else BJP knows what is ahead of them and preparing for consequences than defending themselves any further.

No new jets since 1985 is alright but there is an organization in existence since 1964, details of which are as follows :

    Quote
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) was formed on 1 October 1964 when Hindustan Aircraft Limited joined the consortium formed in June by the IAF Aircraft Manufacturing Depot, Kanpur (at the time manufacturing HS748 under licence) and the group recently set up to manufacture MiG-21 under licence, with its new factories spread across India including Nasik, Korwa, Kanpur, Koraput, Lucknow, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kasaragod. HAL HF-24 Marut fighter-bomber was the first fighter aircraft made in India.
    Unquote

People of India want to know how a 10 day old company become more qualified to manufacture the fighter jets, not HAL

BTW, HAL manufactured 5th Generation Advance Fighter 249 SU-30 MKI under License from SUKOI , Russia to IAF. Last Fighter Aircraft supplied in 2018.

Now your Feku has backstabbed mother India in the name nationalism and lies...and supplied Golden Buffet to Bankrupt Gujju Bizman to Revive his financial condition.

Extremely disgusting, unrelated, mindless, senseless statement by IAF may be dictated by BJP-RSS Chaddi brains. The petition is filed on price and awarding the Indian company as its partner and not new jets or old jets or whatever jets. This is demoralizing and unsafe to Indians if this is coming from IAF such incompetent, low level remarks.
