Bangalore: Popular Front of India to Launch Political Party

Bangalore, Nov 21: Popular Front of India (PFI), a national level citizens' forum for politics, will launch a political party to combat communalism and  strive for development.

The Karnataka chapter of PFI will be launched in Bangalore on November 23, according to PFI national secretary O M Abdusslam.

"It's time for marginalized classes to break off from their traditional strategy of experimenting with support to different political parties during elections,'' he told reporters on Wednesday.

A three-day national conference will be held at Calicut, Kerala, starting February 13, 2009. The conference will focus on quest for political alternatives and steps to fight
