Mangalore: State-level Drama Competition at Panamboor Temple

Mangalore Nov 21: A state-level drama competition will be organized at 'Nataraja Ranga Sangama' stage of Panamboor Lord Nandaneshwara temple from February 1 to 7, 2009 by Panambur Padmanabhaiah Shanbhogue Birth Centenary Celebrations Committee. The plays can be mythological or historical, informed convener of the Drama Competition Organizing Sub-committee convener Shankaranarayana Myrpadi. .

Speaking at a press conference held in the city recently, he also informed that the winners will be rewarded with the cash prizes and permanent shields. 

The first prize winners will receive cash prize of Rs 10,000, while cash prize of Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively, will be awarded to the dramas placed in the first and second runners up position.

Apart from the above prizes, all the other participating teams will be rewarded with Rs 2,, 500 each as consolation prize, he said.

Teams interested in taking part in the competition have to submit duly filled up applications along with competition fee at Sri Nandaneshwara Temple Panamboor, before December 12.
