Doha, Nov 18: Lifelab International upheld a creative model to enhance productivity of human capital by organising Transactional analysis (TA) 101 workshop on November 2 and 3 at Wydham, west bay, Doha. Participants of the workshop collectively said that the content and process of the workshop were high value addition for their personal and professional profile.

TA 101 is the official introductory workshop with a standardised syllabus accredited by ITAA (International Transactional Analysis Association), USA and it is pre-requisite for further learning and practicing the discipline. TA was initially developed as an approach to psychotherapy, over the past 50 years of its growth it has found wider application in all fields concerning human growth and change, namely counselling, education, organisations and coaching. Its simplicity makes it accessible to people from all walks of life. Its universal value that 'people are ok', its emphasis on people's power to choose and the immense hope it places on the possibility of change, makes it relevant to all cultures. TA workshops can be organised individually or collectively by licensed educational institutions, particularly universities and
schools, corporate, mental health organisations, legally recognised Learning & Development Centres, NGOs in the country to enhance the quality of people in their respective filed, and this will be their contribution to develop quality human capital in the country.
Chaitali Shetty, the key person in organising the workshop emphasised its support for parenting children in their academic performance and behaviour modification which is the primary domain of moulding human capital. Macarena, one of the participants added that it equipped them to reflect to their inner self and prepared them to break free from their unhealthy repetitive pattern of behaviours that affect their performance in different walks of everyday life". Jinesh John from a leading corporate who is promoter of this drive as well as participant opined that practices in the workshop prepared them to install fountain of motivation in themselves, to accept and to be accepted which are instrumental to create a positive working environment in the organization. Freeda lobo from a leading corporate and a Toastmaster
expressed that TA101 course gave her so much more than what she expected. Learning about ego states has helped her to get better insight into her behaviour and personality. It has also helped her to deal with situations and people at work, home and in general. She further added she cannot recommend it enough.
Haseena Abdulla facilitated the workshop. She is authorised to teach, supervise and practice psychotherapy by ITAA (International Transactional Analysis Association) which is the international body of Transactional Analysis. Haseena is Director for Project Interventions in Lifelab International, a human capital development social enterprise in India. She is a PTSTA, Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy) and is professionally associated with International Transactional Analysis Association, USA and SAATA (South Asian Association of Transactional Analysis).
Shaheen Backer, director of Safari Group expressed his willingness to further support the drive collaborating with Lifelab and BNI as part of their CSR. Kabeer, managing director, Lifelab and Shabeeb, executive director of BNI Qatar informed that follow-up programs will be organised soon towards creating a learning forum for TA which will contribute to enhance professional human capital of this nation.

Future programmes
1) The next course in Doha of TA 101 will be conducted in February 2019.
2) The team is also conducting a course on Psychodrama in association with Yenepoya University at Mangaluru and Vedadrama, Chennai. Dr.Jochen Becker Ebel, Germany.
The four day course from December 6 to 9, will cover basic methods of psychodrama like role change, doubling, Monodrama, Magic shop and many more concepts which can be used by different professionals in their personal and professional life.
Dr Jochen has been conducting psychodrama training in Bengaluru, Coimbatore and New Delhi. He has more than 60 members in India training under him for Psychodrama and with Yenepoya University he is bring psychodrama to Mangaluru.
