Mangaluru: Fire-fighting demonstration held at Sharada PU College

Mangaluru, Nov 19: A ‘Fire Fighting Demonstration’ was organized by Lions Club Nethravathi in association with Sharada PU College, Kodialbail on November 16.

A formal inauguration by lighting the lamp was done by K Devadas Bhandary, MJF, district governor, 317 D. The programme was presided over by Prof M B Puranik, president of Sharada Educational Institutions. Speaking on the occasion, he told that awareness about our safety is the need of the day and expressed his happiness for having the demonstration at Sharada grounds.

Thippeswamy, regional fire officer and his team demonstrated different strategies and techniques, along with the various fire protection systems, to the assembled crowd.



Lion Nagesh Kumar MJF, district coordinator, Lions Club; Lion Praveen Shetty, regional chairman, Lions Club; Lion Jyothi S Shetty, treasurer, Lions Club; Ronald L D Gomes, First VDG, Lions Club, 317 D; Mahabaleshwara Bhat, principal, Sharada PU College; Dayanand Kateel, vice-prirncipal, Sharada Vidyalaya and Prakash Naik, vice-principal, Sharada PU College, were present on the occasion.
