Bengaluru: Fall in atmospheric pressure - cloudy, chilly weather experienced

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 23: A low atmospheric pressure area has been created over the Bay of Bengal and coastal Tamil Nadu. As a result, cloudy weather and chilly climate is being experienced in south interior areas and coastal belt of the state.

The impact of the low pressure area is particularly severe in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As such, these areas are getting torrential rains. Some areas in south interior parts of Karnataka have also experienced rainfall. Since Thursday morning, cloudy weather and light drizzle are being experienced at many places.

The city and several regions in the state have been experiencing chilly weather. Because of cloudy weather that is continuing, minimum temperature has gone further down, giving rise to cold climate.

The influence of the drop in atmospheric pressure will impact the state for two to three more days. The areas which will be particularly affected are the city and rural districts here, Kolar, Ramanagara, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Kodagu, and Chikkamagaluru districts. These districts might experience drizzle. Cloudy climate will persist in south interior Karnataka and coastal areas, the meteorological department has predicted.

Minimum temperature of 13.4 degree Celsius was recorded at Agumbe. Mysuru recorded minimum temperature of 14.1 degrees and Bidar, 14.2.
