Bengaluru: Santosh Thammiah receives death threats on social media

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Nov 26: Editor of Aseema newspaper Santosh Thammiah has received death threats on social media, after he made controversial remarks at a public meet during Tipu Jayanti.

In his complaint to the cyber crime police on Thursday, Thammaiah says that five people using Facebook accounts of Mangalore Muslims and Sangagala Smhara, have vowed to kill him in a month. They have also abused him.

The cyber crime police are trying to track the people using IP address and have registered a case under various sections of the IT Act, including criminal intimidation.

Santosh Thammiah

Thammaiah was arrested earlier this month by Gonikoppal police for making controversial remarks with regard to Tipu Jayanthi celebrations. However, he obtained bail.

The 37-year-old’s arrest had not gone down well with activists of BJP, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike, who started protests against the state government.

We have many such journalists trained under Shakhas. There are many influenced national TV channels inciting viewers with communal agends. Law should take its course with strict action against bias journalism

Yes law should take it down course. Then why are you threatening to kill him ? You think you are above the law ? Why was a lecturers hand in Kerala chopped off ? Why wasn't law followed then ?

    @hans
Some people have the provocative tendendency of hurting the sentiments of particular community like "you" with an agenda. So they will be hit back by people who are religiously attached who dont care about their consequences.
The laws allow a citizen to seek the punishment of anyone who shows the citizen disrespect "on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, caste or community or any other ground whatsoever". The laws specifically forbid anyone from outraging someone's "religious feelings".

Yes. Where is Amir Khan and freedom of speech now ? Anyway what can be expected from those who only preach to others to follow the law but think they are above the law themselves. They ban pork but are against beef ban.

The rate of Muslim population growth dropped from 29 percent between 1991-2001 to 24 percent between 2001-2011.

From 2011 to till it might be dropped more 24 percent to 20 percent. it means its decreasing decade to decade.

Its all due to, access to internet, modern education, awareness growing in muslim communities also, like other communities there is growing awareness among the new generation of muslims.

Muslim women are also challenging patriarchy just like all women. The current decline is also directly related to the fact that the younger generation is educated and aspirational. Muslim women and men who are as careful about family planning as their Hindu counterparts.

Rather than dividing and spreading hatred among communities lets united as a Indian first and find out root cause of population increase and control it in a safest manner.

Only soldiers, scientists and real farmers can have more children and government should take good care of these children. Otherwise very soon our beautiful country India will be another hell like Pakistan.

We hindus has to get used more of this in future, day by day the population of people of peaceful religion is going up due political gain.. Even modi govt with 20 states and majority has taken a back step in implementing uniform civil code and strict population control laws....
    In 1947,
    Total population 31 cr
    Hindus 26 cr
    Muslims 2.5 cr
    Rest 2.5 cr
    In 2018
    Total population 135 cr
    Hindus 105 cr
    Muslims 22 cr
    Rest 7 cr...
    Hindus multiplied 4 times
    Muslims multiplied 10 times
    Rest multiplied 4 times.
Why our govt is allowing this to happen? Why should one religious sect grow in excess to the remaining sects?
National wealth is for all, why one religious sect should take it away from others and create religious imbalance?
If modi cant implement strict measures, we should be ready to elect a new leader who gurantees our future generations.

    Sanjay, hebri, Dear bhakt.
why you worried about population of hindus??
    did modi married?
    did shobhakka married ?
    did uma bharathi married ?
    did sakshi maharaj married ?
    did fake yogi married ?
all your leaders won't marry and don't have kids, and they believe only in this life, as much as enjoy without having family. so instead shouting for ram mandir, i request you to ask your leaders to get marry have family first, so that all their earned money will not be use.

Mr Mohammad, within some 5 decades population increased around 5 times. Can you increase 1 square inch of this planet?. So the per capita share of land get reduced by 5 times. In the last few decades count the number of species that got extinct. You can Google and find this out. Please extrapolate for another 100 years. You will in what climate your great grandchildren will live. By increasing population you will indirectly make life miserable for all.

Whatever i have written is truth, you are free to write whatever you think is best. If reply is with in line of topic, i will reply. But you reply is as always about bhakths, slaves, keep saying it.
But one think is sure, the day they become majority, (in 700 years), hindus will not there, but even your people will not exist.... Because they know only one thing... That thing you know very well.

Why you worry? Modi already told Hindu is not a realign, its way of life. Like its a civilization. Many of our christian brothers are living as for Hindu tradition. Like marriage they follow Mangala soothra, Celebrating Mother Mary birthday like Ugadi and lots
What would have hapen if Gongress did not divide the country. Pakstan and Bangla Desh is having more then half billion population and they should have made easily Islamic state.

In 1947 we had 2.5 cr muslims, pak had 2.5 cr hindus, today we have 22 cr muslims, pak has 40 lakh Hindus.....
This is where the partion went wrong..... We should have exchanged then, we would have 10 cr less population....peace would have prevailed... Now we and generations to come has to bare the humiliation, pain and there is no peace for both muslims and Hindus....
We cant live in peace any more, nor they can. Then what's the use of partion?

There's no peace because we common are not interested in living peacefully my dear.. if ever we had the feeling of brotherhood and humanity within us then these politicians, media and moral police groups would had been within their limits..
The reason for pak Hindus to reduce may b due to migration as well..
We follow politicians as if they are God.. but no human being is free of any faults or bad quality..
So v need to stop idolising them and use our own brain and heart.. then things will fall in place
