Two Army officers injured in landmine blast in Poonch


Jammu, Nov 27 (IANS): Two Army officers were injured on Tuesday in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

Defence sources said two Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) identified as Dheeraj Kumar and Rajendar Singh of Mahar Regiment were injured when they accidentally stepped on a landmine in Mankote sector of the LoC in Poonch district during routine patrolling.

"Both the injured officers have been shifted to hospital for treatment", sources said.
