Durga Raghunath to join Zomato as Senior Vice President


Gurugram, Dec 3 (IANS): Food delivery app Zomato on Monday announced that Durga Raghunath, currently Chief Executive Indian Express Digital Media Services, will be joining Zomato as Senior Vice President - Growth, effective December 21.

In her new capacity, Raghunath will be responsible for managing new businesses like Zomato's upcoming food events vertical and SneakPeek, which marks the company's recent foray into video content, a company spokesperson said.

Raghunath, who has earlier worked with Zomato, will also be spearheading advertising innovations for the company and help in further monetisation of the online food delivery platform, a company statement said.

"I am excited to have Durga back with us, to help Zomato accelerate its growth trajectory for years to come," Zomato Founder and Chief Executive Deepinder Goyal said in a statement.

"I'm very thrilled to be coming back to Zomato and help build one of the most meaningful food companies of our times," Raghunath said.
