Mangaluru: 'SPARKLE 2018' - Animation & Multimedia Seminar to be held at St Aloysius College

Mangaluru, Dec 5: The department of Computer Science, Application and Animation of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) will organize 'SPARKLE 2018', a National level animation seminar on December 8, 2018, in the Fr L F Rasquinha Hall, LCRI Block on the campus.

The Indian Animation industry is fast emerging as an indispensable part of film making and television industry. The
cutting edge work carried out by Indian studios has catapulted the country on to the global VFX scene. The seminar seeks
to highlight the importance of new media as computer technology used as a distribution platform and the intangible nature
of intellectual property (IP) and its present difficulties.

The speakers for the sessions will be B S Srinivas, CEO, VedAtma Animation Studios and secretary of ABAI, Ganesh Papanna, director of Thought Cloud Studios and vice-president of ABAI and 3D Animator, Amith Sanjeev, Rolling
Dice Studios. The seminar will be inaugurated by Fr Dr Praveen Martis S J, principal of St Aloysius college (Autonomous) at 9 am.

There will be three sessions during the seminar Viz, Careers in New Age Media, Original IP- Challenges & Opportunities in
Animation, and Production Works in Animation. The seminar will also allow students to showcase their talent in the field
through various competitions such as video ad making, poster designing and pencil sketching.
