Exit poll: Congress set for victory in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan - MP tough fight

New Delhi, Dec 7 (Agencies): A Congress win has been projected in another BJP-governed state. The India Today-Axis My India poll predicts that the Grand Old Party will win between 55 to 65 seats in the Chhattisgarh assembly, which has 90 seats. Chief Minister Raman Singh's BJP government is projected to get 21 to 31 seats. The Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (J) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), who forged an alliance, will get just 4 to 8 seats if the numbers holds.

Remember, just like in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has been in power in Chhattisgarh for 15 years. It's projected to get a vote share of just 38 per cent now. The Congress? 45 per cent.

Advantage Congress in Madhya Pradesh

It is going to be a tough fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh, predicts the India Today-Axis My India exit polls.

According to the India Today-Axis My India exit polls, the BJP is set to win 102 seats in the 230-seat state legislative assembly -- registering a loss of 55 seats, in comparison to the last assembly polls.

Madhya Pradesh, which has traditionally been a stronghold of the BJP, became almost invincible under the incumbent chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan. But this assembly election has etched out a saga of recovery for Congress, according to the exit polls.

Congress is set to win 104-120 seats, a recovery of as many as 54 seats.

Congress set for thumping win in Raje's Rajasthan

This is sure to put a smile on Rahul Gandhi's face. In a 200-member assembly, the Congress is projected to get a maximum of 141 seats, and a minimum of 119. Both are above the halfway mark. The exit polls predicts that the BJP will get only 55 to 72 seats. If the numbers hold, then the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will get 1-3 seats, and three to 8 seats will go to others.

Remember, in the 2013 election, the Congress won just 21 seats in Rajasthan.

In Telangana, Chandrashekhar Rao set to return to power: Exit poll

Telangana exit poll: The K Chandrashekhar Rao-led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is likely to storm back to power with an impressive margin in Telangana once the results of the assembly elections are declared on December 11. India Today-Axis My India exit poll predicts that KCR is likely to win 79 to 91 seats in the 119-member house.

Exit polls show MNF leading in Mizoram

In Mizoram, the exit polls conducted by Republic-C-Voter shows the main opposition Mizo National Front (MNF), headed by Zoramthanga, getting 16-20 seats. It has predicted 14-18 seats for the Congress while 3-10 seats for remaining parties. No seats predicted for BJP. There are 40 seats in the Mizoram Assembly.

Don't understand the difference in polls of different agencies which in some cases are contrast. There can be differences of some seats but not some showing seats for BJP as many as some showing for Congress in the same seat. After all, there is not much time left for the counting and results.

After 15 years in MP, if Congress is not able to dislodge BJP, there is something seriously wrong with Congress.
In Karnataka, Siddu couldnt retain his power after just 5 years.

There is no tough fight in MP. It is an easy win as it looks. So two big states for Congress and a wake up call to BJP. This is what happens when they sleep for five years after people elect them with hopes and they get nothing.

If Congress doesn't win MP with a Big Margin after 15 years, it reflects bad on the congress.
Imagine the anti-incumbency after 15 years, MP should have been a walkover for congress.

This is exit polls mister, feedback from voters just after voting AND IT DOESN'T TAKE EVM TAMPERING (if any) INTO CONSIDERATION. Now that the exit polls are in the public domain, if still BJP manages to pull it off, it doesn't take a genius to figure out as to how they did it. Of course, it also depends upon the credibility and methodology deployed by different agencies in exit polls.

Going to Pakistan is no new trend. Our PMs' mothers have been enjoying gifts exchanged by the counterparts across the border.

Truth is the party elected for trial run has disappointed the citizen, hence reverting to the previous system that is more people friendly.
