Two held for looting Rs 37 lakh in Gurugram


Gurugram, Dec 10 (IANS): Two people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the loot of Rs 37 lakh from the cashier of a city-based cooking gas agency on gunpoint last month, police said on Monday. The cash is yet to be recovered.

Those arrested were identified as Sombir (36) and Ishwar alias Deepak (20), both from Haryana.

They were arrested from Sector 102 here on the Dwarka Expressway by the Crime Branch, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shamsher Singh said.

The officer said that Sombir was the mastermind of the heist.

A Ritz car and two pistols were recovered from them. The police are looking for three others, Manish, Ajay and Sunny.

The men came on a motorbike on November 26 and looted the money from the cashier in an upscale residential area of Gurugram.
