Udupi: Sri Krishna Math to Organize Chinnara Habba on Dec 11, 12

Udupi, Dec 10: ‘Chinnara Habba’, a children’s programme for personality development and entertainment, will be held on Thursday December 11 and Friday December 12, exclusively for the students of schools that are provided mid-day meals by the Sri Krishna Math.

Karnataka legislative assembly speaker Jagdish Shettar will inaugurate the programme at 10.30 am on Thursday December 11, in the presence of Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami of Puttige Math and Sri Raghumanyateerta Swami of Bheemanakatte Math.

Zilla panchayat president Raju Poojary, entrepreneur Pramod Madhwaraj, and public instructions department deputy director Anand, will be the chief guests on the occasion.

The valedictory ceremony will be held at 3.00 pm on Friday December 12, attended by Swami Sugunendrateerta. 

State women and child welfare minister P M Narendraswamy and social welfare minister D Sudhakar, zilla panchayat chief executive officer Prasannakumar, Mangalore entrepreneur Prof M B Puranik, Kaup Sri Vidhyaniketan group of education institutions founder K P Acharya, and Manipal Century Farms chief Rajaram Bhat will be the chief guests on the occasion.

On these two days, V G Baikady will stage entertaining games, Pattabhirama Sullia will stage comedy and mimicry, Ramesh Kalmady will provide entertainment and Prahlad Acharya will conduct magic and ventriloquism shows.

Around 3,000 students from 120 schools in the district, are expected to attend the programme, stated a press release issued by the managing committee of Sri Krishna Math.
