Bangalore, Dec 11: Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa announced here on Wednesday December 10 that the state government would extend aid of Rs two crore to the residential educational institutions proposed to be set up in Udupi and Mysore by the Udupi-based Pejawar Math. The Math plans to impart Hindu religious refinement to all the Hindus irrespective of their caste and creed, through these institutions.

Speaking after presiding over a function organized at the Poornaprajna Vidyapeeth here, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Pejawar Swamiji's initiation into the religious order; he said that the two institutions will get a crore of rupees each in the next budget. The chief minister also stressed, that the government would not stop supporting the Maths, temples etc., that work for the welfare of the people, irrespective of criticisms it might face from various quarters.

He also called upon the people to come together to fight the menace of religious conversions, terrorism and corruption, which have been the bane of the society today.

In his benedictory speech, Pejawar Math Swamiji Sri Vishweshateerta said that he is determined to go ahead with the schemes meant for the protection of Hinduism and welfare of the dalits. "I refuse to be deterred by protests, burning of my effigies, hurling of footwear, etc.  Like the potent weapon legendary Bhagadatta had hurled at Lord Srikrishna that turned into a beautiful garland, I welcome all criticisms like flower garlands. I will not back track from my goal," he announced.

"It would be wrong to be inactive when Hinduism is under attack. Even though leftists continue to criticize us, dalits are with us. I want to set up educational institutions in Mysore, Udupi, Shimoga and Bangalore, where education and religious refinement will be provided to all the Hindus including the dalits," he reiterated.

This ideology does not seem to be universal. Public money decided by the individuals for votes. Public should decide and see whether they need politicians.

Now this is a serious cause for concern! we elected a  chief minister he is proving us all fools!  If this  chief minister grants two crores of the public funds, how many crores of rupees will he give to other community  institutions? Is it just and fair  in  seculair India ?  I  earnestly hope the High Court and the Supreme court  takes notice of these anti-secular, anti-constitutional measures and bring about checks .

There has been a lot of publicity recently that the Karnataka  CM is giving away crores of rupees to various religious institutions both in India and abroad. Yet we read that the Karnataka treasury is running out of money. I hope he is giving away his own money and not that of the  tax payer .
