Mangalore: BJP Legal Cell to Host District Advocates’ Conference

Mangalore, Dec 12: A District Advocates’ Conference will be held at Sri Jagannath Rao Joshi Soudha, Kodialbail, on Sunday December 14 from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.

The event will be organized by the Dakshina Kannada District BJP Legal Cell.

Four branches will be formed to render legal services to the general public in the field of human rights, anti-corruption, and environmental pollution, said K Sudhakar Joshi, advocate and district convener, speaking at the press conference on Friday December 12.

The conference will aim to create awareness among people about the terrorism act, he said. Indianization is our motto. Without Indians becoming Indianized, maladies can not be set aside, he said.

D V Sadanand Gowda, BJP state president, will inaugurate the conference. M B Zirali, state convener, Legal Cell, will preside over the function. Suresh Kumar, law minister, will participate as the chief guest. 

N Vinaya Hegde, Nitte Education Trust, will unveil the portrait of Justice K S Hegde.

Santosh Kumar, state organizing secretary, BJP, K Monappa Bhandary, president, BJP, Dakshina Kannada district, and Krishna J Palemar, district-in-charge minister, will be the guests of honour.

MLA Yogish Bhat, MLA Angara, MLA Mallika Prasad Bhandary, Dr B Madhava Bhandary, chairman MUDA, Ganesh Karnik, MLC, Nagraj Shetty, chairman, Coastal Development Authority, Kumble Sundar Rao, chairman, Yakshagana Academy, Vivek Reddy, state co-convener, Legal Cell, and mayor Ganesh Hosabettu will be present.

K Ranmakrishna Rai, advocate, legal cell, Sumana Sharan, member, and Shambu Sharma, convener, were present at the press meet.
