Bengal man shot dead


Kolkata, Dec 18 (IANS): A man was shot dead in West Bengal's Paschim Bardhaman district a day ago and his body went missing, police said on Tuesday.

"Forty-year-old Sanjeet Paswan was shot by miscreants near Chinakuri on Monday but his body could not be found at the spot," a Kulti police station official said.

The body was recovered early on Tuesday from Hirapur in Asansol subdivision.

A post-mortem was awaited and no arrest has been made so far, he added.
