Al Ain: Colourful Family Sports Fest See Participation of Over 500 Athletes

Al Ain, Dec 14:  The ‘Blue Star Inter UAE Family Sports Festival’ was held here at the University grounds on Friday December 12. 

More than 500 athletes participated in the day-long festival which was held for the 11th successive year.

From kids to veterans, there were nearly 50 events in athletics for different age groups, which were conducted in a professional manner.



Games like Kabaddi, football, and tug-of-war were held and for the first time a throwball competition was held which was won by ‘Jashan Dubai’.  ‘Mangalore Konkans’ were the runners-up in the event.  A total of nine teams from the UAE participated in the throwball event.

Ganga Ramani, managing director, Al Fara’a Group of Companies, was present as well as many police officers and dignitaries. The event was well-supported by the Kannada Sangh, Al Ain.
