Sullia: Kukke Subramanya temple takes stringent measures for prasada hygiene

Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (EP)

Sullia, Dec 20: Kukke Subramanya temple administration has decided to implement stringent precautionary measures after the tragic death of fifteen devotees consuming poisoned prasada in Sulvadi Maramma temple.

It has ensured that devotees do not distribute prasada prepared by them without prior permission. Security measures have been implemented in the kitchen, stock rooms of raw and cooked food and rooms where ladoos and panchakajjaya are prepared and distributed.

Entry of people in those rooms has been banned. It has been decided to follow security measures during preparation and storing of food. It is also decided to install CCTV cameras in rooms meant for Naivedya and Anna Dasoha if those are not installed already. “The proposal for 54 CCTV cameras is sent for approval,” said temple managing committee president Nithyananda Mundodi.

Just like in a hospital only surgeons/nurses are allowed to enter the operation theatre,
Same way the priest who performs the rituals in accordance with rules of temple can enter the Garba griha where the Vigraha is kept.
If you install CCTV cameras, the repairs /maintenance guys have to enter the garba griha. This becomes difficult as they are not in traditional dress code and rules of temple.
So CCTV cameras are installed only upto certain areas of the temple and not beyond that.

it is good.Instead of all these cctv (Install ation is good )best keep a watch man or a temple personal still better. during the food processing.have a control over the whole food articles during ang before any lay person enters inside. It must be made compulsory to keep a sample of every food type for seven days ,in fridge as any normal food processor for serving people. Here in common canteen or hospital kitchen is compulsoryIf something goes wrong with eaters sample will be taken out find if any unusualness is there in lab.May the souls of innocents rest in peace.
