Bengaluru, Dec 22: As per information Congress party has finalized names for the posts of chairpersons for 18 corporations and boards in the state apart from posts of seven parliamentary secretaries. It is said that the name of MLC from Mangaluru, Ivan D'Souza, finds mention in the list of parliamentary secretaries.

There is said to be concern within the party circles about the coalition government facing danger if M B Patil, Shamanuru Shivashankarappa, and B C Patil, are not made ministers. Ramesh Jarkiholi's eviction from the ministry also is expected to give rise to rumbles in the government.

Jayamala unscathed

It is said that during the discussions on expansion of the ministry, there was discussions on the desirability of dropping Jayamala from the ministry. However, as Congress party affairs state in-charge, K C Venugopal, stoutly stood by the only woman minister of Karnataka, she scraped through unscathed.
