Mangaluru: Vikas PU College promotes ‘Tree Plantation' programme

Mangaluru, Dec 22: With the mission to bring awareness of clean and green nature, Vikas Pre-University College, here on December 22 conducted ‘Tree Plantation-2018’ programme at Noble School, Kunjathbail, in the city.

It was part of the innovative initiation of Vikas Pre-University College to protect forest which was inaugurated on December 1 by J Krishna Palemar, former minister and chairman of Vikas Group of Institutions.

Gopalkrishna Bhat, headmaster, Shreesha, deputy headmistress and students of Noble School, planted the saplings along with chief guest of the programme Manohar Concessao, HOD, Mathematics department and coordinator of the programme Laxmisha Bhat, HOD, Sanskrit department, Vikas PU College.

Tree planting is carried out in order to maintain the ecological balance and it is the answer to large-scale destruction of forests.
