Mangaluru: Hit and run accident – bike claims woman’s life

Mangaluru Dec 22: In a tragic incident, a woman lost her life when a bike hit her at Bikarnakatte on Saturday December 22.

Deceased has been identified as Vilasini (43), a resident of Bikarnakatte. Vilasini was working in cashew factory.

As per details available, Vilasini was walking near Bikarnakatte. A speeding two-wheeler hit her at that time claiming her life instantly.

The rider of the bike fled from the spot.

Traffic police have registered the case.

These days some guys purchase high end vehicles and go on road as if the road is owned by them only for personnel use, by not bothering about others lives and careless driving, day fellow not even halted for a while to see d woman, just flew of the site in his high end vehicle, so itz necessary to fit c c TV cameras in every road, atleast the culprit could be identified if he/she flew from d spot.

It was the duty of the driver to stop the vehicle and report the matter to the police. It appears that the said driver did not even care to see the outcome of the accident and if necessary render FIRST AID assistance.

It is only a question of time before the driver is caught and duly booked by the police.

These youngsters and specially the working classof labour workers don't have the licence and ride the vehicles. If our traffic Police is very strict on their duty , we can save many people. Our traffic dept is responsible for these types of accidents.
