Mangaluru: Thieves break into school, escape with Rs 1 lac meant for tour

Mangaluru, Dec 23: Thieves entered an educational institution here on Saturday night and escaped with Rs 1 lac, collected from the students for tour.

The thieves broke open the doors of principal and headmaster's office at Kinya Falah Educational Institution and took the cash.

Ironically, the police department had recently organized a programme at the school related to actions to be taken to tackle criminal activities. During the programme, several participants had raised issues like tackling drug mafia.

Ullal police and canine squad arrived to the school. Police are investigating the case.
