Bengaluru, Dec 23: The Tulu Eighth Schedule Horata Samiti has decided to hold 'Post Card Movement' campaign in order to urge the inclusion of the Tulu language in the eighth schedule of the Constitution.

Giving the details of the campaign in a press conference, Udaya Dharmasthala, said, "Tulu language, which is identified as one of the five Dravidian languages, is neglected to as there are no Godfathers to promote it. Tulu language, which is one of the ancient languages, has to be included in the eighth schedule of the Constitution. Post cards will be sent to the residences and offices of the MPs and MLAs of the state." 

Udaya expressed his gratitude towards P Karunakaran, MP of Kasargod, who raised the issue of inclusion of Tulu language in the eighth schedule of the Constitution. Udaya further urged the formation of a development authority for the Tulu language and the establishment of a Tulu University. He also urged the government to encourage the development of the Tulu script.
