Daijiworld Media Network – Belagavi(DC)

Belagavi, Dec 23: AICC President Rahul Gandhi will not contest from Karnataka in the Lok Sabha polls, clarified former chief minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah here on Sunday, December 23.

Speaking to reporters in Belagavi, Siddaramaiah said that Rahul Gandhi will contest from Amethi itself and not from Karnataka.

Reacting about cabinet expansion he said that some of the leaders in the party were disappointed. "We cannot satisfy everyone. At present we have given ministerial berths to six leaders. After the Lok Sabha polls we will expand the cabinet again," he said.

He also refuted some of the reports and said that Ramesh Jarakhiholi who has been dropped from the cabinet will not resign. "They will not leave the party. BJP is a communal party and also a sinking ship. Hence, no one will join the BJP," he added.
