Mangaluru, Dec 24: “Dream is not which you get while sleeping, it is the one that does not let you sleep,” were the words of additional deputy commissioner and additional district magistrate Kumara. He was speaking on the occasion of the 32nd Expert Day at Kodialbail which was held on December 22. Through the stories he narrated, he conveyed the importance of a positive attitude in students and belief in themselves to conquer life as they want.
The formal inauguration of Expert Day which marked 32 years of excellence of education, was held at Kootakkala Auditorium, Bhagavati temple premises.
The chief guest Kumara guest of honour Dr K Rajesh Nayak, director of Training, College of Banking and Financial Studies, Sultanate of Oman, Prof Narendra L Nayak, Chairman, Expert Group of Institutions, Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice-chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions, Ankush N Nayak, director (IT), Expert group of Institutions, Mangaluru, S S Nayak, chartered accountant, Mangaluru, Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal of Expert PU College, Kodialbail, Dr Vijayan N K , principal of Expert PU College, Valachil, the programme co-ordinator of Expert Day, Physics lecturer Vijeth Nayak, and the president of Alumni Association Mohammed Ghouse, graced the occasion with their presence.
“To be successful, we need attitude, time management and hard-work.” said Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak. Further, she asked her students to make a resolution to never make excuses.
Principal Prof Ramachandra Bhat read out the annual report of the year.
Ankush N Nayak, director (IT), motivated the students to dream big, work hard, stay focused and to surround themselves with good people.
The toppers of Karnataka Board Exam were felicitated. The proficiency awards were handed out to the top scorers of the current year. The prizes were distributed to the winners in the variety competitions.
Guest of honour, director of Training, college of Banking and Financial studies Sultanate of Oman Dr Rajesh Nayak stated that if teachers are eagles then students must also be eagles. He also mentioned that the harder we work the luckier we find ourselves and suggested that some decisions should be taken by the heart.
Most of the impossible tasks are made possible by motivation, said the chairman Prof Narendra L Nayak. He encouraged the students to be dedicated, sincere, hardworking and to have a goal in life and reach it.
The annual day celebration ‘Expert Day 2018’ was marked by festivities which were held on December 21 and 22. On December 21, a variety of competitions were held for the students to exhibit their talents.
The students Aaryan Mirji and Adithi Bhat compered the formal programme.
The president of Students’ Council, Mohak Khandelwal welcomed and the secretary of students’ council, Meera B N proposed the vote of thanks.
The celebrations culminated with the cultural programmes presented by the college students.
