J&K cop found dead in hotel room


Srinagar, Dec 26 (IANS): A Jammu and Kashmir Police officer was found dead in his hotel room in Badgam district on Wednesday, police said.

The body of Sub Inspector Abdul Hamid, who was posted with the anti-hijacking wing at Srinagar International Airport, was recovered from the Humhama area hotel.

The deceased belonged to Baramulla district and was given accommodation in that hotel by the authorities.

According to initial investigation, the police said the death was apparently caused by a heart attack.
