Kundapur, Dec 27: The dead body of a youth in sleeping position was found on the first floor of a building under construction at Sasthan under Kota police station limits near here on the morning of Thursday, December 27.

The deceased is identified as Harish Kunder (28), son of Krishna Marakala of Happalabettu Irodimane near Sasthan.

Some people living in the vicinity of the building noticed the dead body and informed the police. The name of the building complex is Jyothi Prabha, which is near the Sasthan bus stand. The ground floor of the building is given on rent and the first floor is being built.

Harish Kunder

On the morning of Thursday, Harish's body was found in sleeping position. People thought that some labourer who has slept there in the night has not woken up yet. However, people got curious when the youth did not get up even after the sun came up. When the people went near the youth and observed, they noticed that the person has died.

Blood was oozing from his genitals as well as ear. A small cut is noticed on the throat. A red stone that is used for the construction is also noticed slightly damaged near the dead body. In addition, an empty bottle of liquor is also found near the body.

The locals say that the deceased Harish was an electrician by profession and had good rapport with everyone. It is said that people have seen Harish consuming liquor on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 26 at Madhura Bar in Sasthan. However, no one has noticed him after that. Though Harish used to drink, he was not a habitual drinker as per the people who know him. He never used to quarrel with anyone and no one had any enmity with him.

Because of the suspicious circumstances in which Harish's body was found, people are suspecting this as a case of murder.

Kota police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating further. The body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.

Here I will not come in support of any political party as such. But a question to you Mr. Jossey.....

When did the Nirbhaya gang rape case take place? Hello if my memory serves me right it was in December 2012. It was congress rule at the centre then.

Please think before you comment sir

The congress govt. had a tight grip on that rape case to punish those who involved. Because of the fear one involved committed suicide. Unfortunately in 2014 when rape is normal and most of their people involved formed the govt. at the center they just dumped the case aside. That is why we are telling 'After 2014'
