AgustaWestland case: Christian Michel names Sonia Gandhi during ED probe

New Delhi, Dec 29 (DC): The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday informed Delhi’s Patiala House court that AgustaWestland middleman Christian Michael has taken the name of Mrs Sonia Gandhi during interrogation but in what reference it can’t be said.

Michael has identified how HAL was removed from the deal and the deal was offered to Tata, added ED.

Michel spoke about “the son of the Italian lady” and how he is going to become the “next prime minister of the country".

ED has asked to ban Michel’s lawyer’s access to him. It has alleged that he is being tutored from outside.

The investigative agency stated that they need to decipher who the “big man” referred to as “R” is in the communication between Christian Michel and other people.

Aljo K Joseph, Michel’s lawyer said, “We don’t dispute that he (Christian Michel) had handed us the papers, but it’s the fault of the ED that they allowed it to happen.”

The court has sent the alleged middleman Michel to 7-day ED remand custody.

    What a crude attempt to involve Sonia Gandhi. 2G, 4G, Coal Scam, Bofors and imagine the money spent to indulge in slander all these years and win the 2014 elections through such deceit. Nothing came ourt of it.

    Modu during the 2014 elections promised that he would eradicate corruption. drive all the corrupt members of Parliment out of Parliment, enact the lokpal bill and appoint the Lokpal. All these promises have been proved to be a sham to mislead the people of India.

    If he was or is serious about fighting corruption, he should have immdiatedly appointed a JPC and ordered a CBI Probe into the Rafale Scam before using the enforcement agencies in such a crude manner to malign the opposition parties.

    Obviously he is guilty of the Rafale Scam and so making desperate attempts to malign the Gandhi family in retaliation. the people have become wise and have seen through this futile and desperate attempts of the BJP.

    These are not Michel's words. This script is written in Nagpur and handed over to the media. Michel may not even know what the media is saying. This statement has very close resemblance to recent BJP jibe at congress like Italina lady, mother and son, Nehru and Gandhi. Here ED is acting as middle man for BJP.

    What type of interrogation is this? ED must have told the court that he is asking for Bakedd Beef also!!!! Since they don't know in what reference!!!!!
